Safety Standards
Badge To The Bone has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page describes the standards, policies, and enforcement procedures that apply to every part of the Badge To The Bone website (badgetothebone.com) and mobile application (the "App").
Prohibited Content and Behavior
The following are strictly prohibited anywhere on the website, in the App, or in any community feature (The Bullpen discussions, episode comments, private messages, user profiles, and photo uploads):
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, video, audio, text, drawings, or computer-generated content.
- Grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, or any attempt to develop a sexual relationship with a minor.
- Sextortion, trafficking, or any commercial or non-commercial exploitation of minors.
- Sharing, linking to, or requesting CSAM, including through private messages.
- Any content that sexualizes, endangers, or otherwise exploits a minor, even if the content does not meet the legal definition of CSAM.
Reporting CSAE
If you encounter content or behavior on Badge To The Bone that you believe violates these standards, report it immediately:
- Email [email protected] with as much detail as you can provide: URLs, screenshots, usernames, timestamps, and a brief description of what you saw.
- Use the in-app report controls on any comment, Bullpen topic, private message, or user profile.
Reports are reviewed promptly. You do not need to identify yourself to report, but providing a contact address lets us follow up if we need more information.
Reporting to Authorities
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Suspected CSAM may also be reported directly to the appropriate authorities:
- United States: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
- International: Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) at report.iwf.org.uk or INHOPE member hotlines at inhope.org.
When we confirm CSAM on our platform, we report it to NCMEC as required by United States law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A) and preserve the relevant records for investigators. This obligation applies whether the content is flagged by a user report or identified by our own review.
Our Response
When a report is received or violating content is otherwise detected, we:
- Remove the content from public view as quickly as possible.
- Suspend or permanently ban the account or accounts responsible.
- Preserve evidence (content, metadata, IP addresses, and timestamps) as required for law enforcement cooperation.
- Report confirmed CSAM to NCMEC and cooperate with any resulting investigation.
Minimum Age
Badge To The Bone is not directed at children under the age of 13. Account registration, commenting, messaging, and other interactive features are intended for adults, particularly first responders and their families. If we learn that an account belongs to a user under 13, we will disable the account and delete the associated personal data.
