This Privacy Policy describes how MDPSync, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with Badge To The Bone website (badgetothebone.com) and mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Website
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region. This information helps us understand how visitors use the site and improve the experience. Google Analytics uses cookies; you can opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Firebase Authentication
If you choose to sign in (via Google or Apple), Firebase Authentication provides us with a unique user ID, display name, email address, and profile photo URL. We use this information solely to enable site features such as episode comments, The Bullpen community discussions, private messaging, bookmarks, and listening history.
Content Submissions
When you post comments, create Bullpen topics, upload photos, or send private messages, your display name and profile photo are stored alongside your content. All public submissions may be moderated by site administrators.
Episode Engagement
If you interact with episodes while signed in, we store the following data associated with your account:
- Episode likes to track your liked episodes and display aggregate counts.
- Bookmarks to save episodes for later listening.
- Listening history to track your progress and show "Continue Listening" suggestions.
Private Messages
If you use the private messaging feature, the content of your messages is stored on our servers. Messages are visible only to you and the recipient. You can delete individual messages you have sent. You can also block other users to prevent them from messaging you.
Message data is retained until you delete your account or request data deletion.
Mobile App
Account and Authentication
The App uses Firebase Authentication (Google or Apple sign-in) to enable community features such as commenting, messaging, and bookmarking. The same data collected on the website applies to the App.
Push Notifications
The App may request permission to send push notifications for new episode alerts and message notifications. If you grant permission, your device's push token is transmitted to and stored on our server solely to deliver notifications. This token is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's settings.
Local Storage
The App stores preferences and cached data on your device. This data never leaves your device except as described above.
Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the services described above:
- Account data is retained until you request deletion via our data deletion page.
- Push tokens are removed automatically when they become invalid.
You can request deletion of all your data by visiting the data deletion page or by emailing [email protected].
Children's Privacy
Badge To The Bone is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website or App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
